Dude I know this is principally a hp blog BUT I have this head cannon since days of Michael (from be more chill) and I have to write it down.

So the headcannon is Michael asking in Yahoo questions something like "My mothers think I'm straight, What should I do?" And this annon answer him something really specific like "you should tell your bestie/whole life crush that you love him casue he sure loves you back, then tell your mothers and you see how excited they will get" of course this scared Michael cause, come on, a random guy in the internet knows 'bout Jeremy and his crush on him, so he erase the question. But turns out Cristine was the annon after all this time and she just ships boyf riends and knows that Jeremy likes Michael back (in this head cannon).

BMC on Broadway

So I went to see it this past Saturday the 16th and I wanted to share my experience without spoiling anything for anyone. So here we go...

Im gonna start by saying that I went to go see it with my lovely girlfriend @usernamebyfalloutboy and just a little shout out to her for driving cuz she’s the real mvp here.

Now the show

Phenomenal

George Salazar looked like a lesbian

I think that I prefer Will Roland to Will Connolly (idk if I spelled that right rip)

Obviously that’s just my opinion but I thought he was phenomenal

There were a lot of changes from the original soundtrack

I was only disappointed by one of the changes, other than that I thought they added to the show

I’m not sayings anything about the changes because I think it added to the experience. Being familiar with the show but not knowing everything made it new and different plus there is an official Broadway cast recording coming out soon

The whole cast was just so good I love them all

The set was stunning and I was in awe the whole time

We also did some stage dooring after the show

When we got over to the stage door it was already very crowded and I was kinda discouraged because I didn’t think I was going to be able to get any signatures but everyone was super nice around us and we’re helping us pass things up to the actors and actresses to get signed

I didn’t get any pictures with any of the cast since I was far back in the crowd but it was still a great experience.

All in all it was a great time and I had a fantastic night with the love of my life seeing a pretty fantastic show.

One thing that I've noticed from the original cast recording of Be More Chill? Cristine Canigula is the only character with a recording that don't have any backing vocals or other characters interruptions. Or I just really need a new hearphone.

The Fucked Up thing about Be More Chill...

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT...

JEREMY AND THE SQUIP’s ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP IN BE MORE CHILL!

Alright so quick summary for anyone who hasn’t seen Be More Chill: Jeremy Heere is an anxious kid who only is friends with Michael Mell. He hates how mundane his life is and in an effort to be cool, takes advice from his bully, Rich, who is like 2 feet shorter than him to buy a SQUIP. And then his life turns bad... confusingly bad.

So the SQUIP, that is meant to help Jeremy is actually abusing him. In Be More Chill Part 1, the SQUIP says, “Oh, Oh, everything about you makes me wanna die.” In part 2 he makes Jeremy recite, “Oh, oh everything about ME makes ME WANNA DIE.” I don’t know about you guys but that is textbook bullying and no help whatsoever to anyone’s self esteem. Be More Chill part one and Be More Chill part two are the SQUIP manipulating Jeremy into thinking he’s the reason no one even talks to him. In reality it’s because he’s just generally not a popular person and plus HE CLEARLY HAS SOCIAL ANXIETY.

Now, let’s get to the good stuff. CHRISTINE. Jeremy is IN LOVE with CHRISTINE CANIGULA, theatre geek and goddess but she seems to like him as a friend. So, what does the SQUIP do? While Christine is singing a love song about a mystery boy, IT activates his pheromones and gets Jeremy’s hopes up when indeed Christine admits she really like Jake. SUPER POPULAR JAKE.

But wait! There’s More!

Turns out the SQUIP has been blocking Jeremy’s BEST FRIEND Michael out of his vision. And literally has Jeremy use BROOKE and “date” her to get to Christine. But the sad thing is throughout all of this the SQUIP tells Jeremy that Michael needs to be sacrificed so he can actually be loved- WHICH IS FALSE BTW. So Jeremy BLOCKS HIS FRIEND IRL- ON PURPOSE BY CHOICE.

And then...

The SQUIP forces Jeremy to sit still and get SEDUCED by Chloe, who is the best friend of HIS GIRLFRIEND BROOKE. JEREMY HEERE! YOU KNOW THAT WASNT CONSENSUAL! THE SQUIP EVEN SAID “YOURE WELCOME” when it was blatantly obvious Jeremy wanted to exit the situation. BECAUSE HE WAS AT A HALLOWEEN PARTY WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND!

So... there’s more about Michael! Michael Mell is in the bathroom that Jeremy uses to escape and JEREMY doesn’t listen to his warning about the SQUIP and instead pushes him and calls him a loser - WHILE STILL ON THE SQUIP- and poor Michael has a FREAKING PANIC ATTACK.

But then Jeremy resists when he hears that his past bully, Rich, burned down Jake’s house to get rid of his Squip and is now in the hospital and the SQUIP again tricks him into brainwashing the whole school during a school play. BUT IT’S NOT JEREMY WHO SAVES THE DAY but MICHAEL MELL!

Turns out the red Mountain Dew turns off the Squip but somehow the Squip is still in Jeremy’s mind. And though the SQUIP abuses and brainwashed him, Jeremy Heere still had no consequences or discipline for ANY OF HIS ACTIONS. NOT EVEN FOR LIKE ENDANGERING THE HUMAN RACE!

While im at it the characters of Be More Chill, most of them are bad ppl. The squip is what we all see as Biggest Bad Boi. But Rich? He may have been squiped but he’s still kinda a dick ;). Jake is p alright but did nothing when his best friend was bullying people. Chloe basically sexually assaulted Jeremy because she was mad he chose Brooke over her. Brooke is also p alright but she sits there as Jenna and Chloe spread shit about ppl and make fun of them. Micheal is also p alright but we can all see he could’ve done more to help, instead he got (reasonably) mad and sulked (not without cause) for a long time when he could’ve helped a lot of shit not go down. Jeremy, yes he was squiped, but he actively chose to leave his best friend of 12 years behind and block him from his view just because he wanted more friends (which he could have gotten he and Micheal aren’t the only ones at their school with their intrests). Christine is great, she had no clue what was going down until it was too late, and refused a squip she didn’t really do anything bad she’s just a casual teen. Jenna is lowkey previously mentioned but she spreads shit about people so much. There is a whole song about how she is going around with Chloe spreading stuff about Rich which is really fucking disrespectful cuz he’s in a hospital with serious injuries, don’t spread shit about people who can’t be there to defend themselves. Jenna does this and is not a good person. That’s all. Thanks for coming to my ted talk :))
